Under the banner of the Brighton Festival Artists’ Open Houses, The Ditchling Art trail takes place during the first four week-ends of May. Family members with associations of Eric Gill and the historic Guild of St Joseph’s & St Dominic are among the many artists & craftspeople working in & around the village today.
During the Festival Art Trail this year there were 19 venues in 15 locations, exhibiting a diverse range of high quality art and craft in studios, workshops, galleries, pubs and restaurants. Many venues are within easy walking distance of the village centre, whilst those in Streat Lane,(Skelton Workshops) Plumpton, (The Half Moon) 100 Acre Lane, (Park Farm) and The Handmade House in Lewes Road have convenient parking. The studios and workshops at Turner Dumbrell have parking.
