Sports Day Results

Ditchling, Streat & Westmeston Annual Inter-Village Sports Day RESULTS:

Every year, weather permitting, the Inter-Village Sports attracts competitors of all ages and abilities. It has been held regularly since 1936, although some cups date back to 1925 when the first Sports were held. It is an inter-village competition where points are accumulated for the Area Teams by the efforts of every placed Area runner. It is also a competition for individuals and families who have the chance to compete for coveted prizes and cups. To encourage as much participation as possible, there are 'fun races' as well, such as the Three-Legged race and Egg and Spoon race. Spectators this year were treated to Cream Teas, sold in aid of St. Anne’s Day Centre for the Homeless in Brighton.
