Art in Ditchling

Under the banner of the Brighton Festival Artists’ Open Houses The Ditchling Art trail takes place during the first four week-ends in May. Family members with associations of Eric Gill and the historic Guild of St Joseph’s & St Dominic are among the many artists & craftspeople working in & around the village today. During the Festival Art Trail this year there are 15 venues exhibiting a diverse range of art, most within easy walking distance of the village centre..

Additionally, there are month- long exhibitions offering a selection of artists’ work from the venues at Chestertons’ Food Hall & Café and The White Horse Pub & Restaurant, both in the village centre and within close proximity of the Church of St. Margaret, The Museum and Galleries.

The village hosts a smaller Art Trail of Open House venues coinciding with the Brighton Christmas Art Trail....
