Ditchling Morris was formed in 1985 as a family side performing traditional English Morris Dances. Morris dancing is an essentially English tradition and we are a mixed side performing mainly Cotswolds Morris dances that are elegant and energetic. We meet to practice on Thursday evenings from September to May, attend many formal events, international festivals, and can be found performing at various venues in and around the village and surrounding areas throughout the year. We welcome both dancers and audiences to keep the tradition alive; membership is open to all.
We practice on Thursday evenings from 7.30 - 9.30pm in the United Reformed Church Hall in Hassocks from 1st September to 1st May. If you would like to come and see what we do - new members dancers and musicians always welcome - contact us for more details.
