Coffee Morning and Open Garden

Saturday 1 September 2018, 10:00 am

Venue: 58 East End Lane magnus poster.png

6-year-old Magnus was diagnosed with a life-threatening Stage 4 Neuroblastoma at the start of 2018. It is an aggressive, rare cancer with a high risk of relapse and he is on a challenging treatment with the NHS for a year. Should complete remission be achieved by the end of the year he will remain at high risk of relapse.

This emerging therapy will run into many thousands of pounds but will greatly enhance his chances of a full recovery. It has become clear that funding non-NHS treatment will be an ongoing issue for Magnus. He will need immunotherapy drug treatment and, potentially, gene therapy in the United States
