Ditchling Film Society
A friendly gathering to view a wide variety of films representing the best in World Cinema, plus the occasional crowd pleaser! High definition digital projection and surround sound. Programme widely advertised locally.
Annual membership £50 for all films in 2023. Guests welcome (£7 per evening). Wine available for sale. Cards and cash accepted - just turn up and pay on the door.
Meets: Ditchling Village Hall mostly on the 1st Thursday monthly 8pm, between October and July
Ditchling Film Society was founded in 1982. It aims to show a range of films through its season, which extends from October to July. The venue is Ditchling Village Hall. We show a least one film a month in that period, usually on the first Thursday of the month, plus one or two extra films. We are showing the best of World Cinema. We show foreign films in the original language, with subtitles. We now show films with Surround Sound and also in high definition (when available).
