Diversion of footpath 46a on Lodge Hill - deadline for comme

12 Jun 2017

Thanks to Ditchling Society for the summary below.

Note that the deadline for comments is 16th June 2017.

An application has been filed with East Sussex Country Council to divert the footpath on the west side of Lodge Hill from the diagonal path across the field to behind the new fence along the north/east boundary.  The proposed path is narrow, fenced by barbed wire and likely to be overrun with brambles and gorse.  There are iconic views from this hill and compared to the original route, this path is unpleasant and potentially hazardous, and the diversion is not essential for the grazing of sheep.  If you would like to comment on the application, contact Ms. Chloe Rowling at ESCC by email: to make your views known. The application cannot be seen on-line.
