DVA Newcomers' Party - Sat April 12, 2025

The DVA are pleased to announce our Newcomers' Party is planned for Saturday 12th April from 1830-2030 - a chance for new residents to meet each other and local clubs and groups over a glass of wine or other refreshments.

If you know someone who is new to the village, please send them details and encourage them to attend.

The invitation is open to all new residents of the parish of Ditchling (including St George's Park), Streat or Westmeston who have moved here since the last party  - or who haven't yet managed to attend one.  All ages are welcome and can sign up at tinyurl.com/dva2025 or drop their details round to 31 East End Lane, Ditchling.

We rely on word of mouth to let new residents know about this party. Closer to the time we'll also be putting up advertising posters.

If you are on the committee of a local club, society or organisation we would be pleased if you would like to attend to represent your group (see details below).

DVA Newcomers' Party: Clubs and Societies

AnchorInformation for Clubs & Societies: Sat 12th April, 5:30pm-9:30pm

If you are involved in organising a club, society or group based in or around Ditchling then please review the notes below:

For your organisation, the Newcomers' party is a chance to promote your activities, engage with the community and hopefully gain new members, interest and support. We invite you to send representatives to promote your interests. We will give them name badges, some table space, chairs and a chance to chat with Newcomers. If you have some displays or other promotional material to support your organisation you would be welcome to bring it (please be considerate regarding space!) If you need electric power to your display area please advise us as options are limited.

The DVA will be providing wine and soft drinks to lubricate the party atmosphere. If your group would like to bring nibbles or snacks to share from your stand you are most welcome, but it isn't mandatory.

The event opens to the public at 6.30pm, and the hall opens from 5.30pm to set up your area and get settled in. Please be prepared to help clear and tidy the hall at the end of the event (closes at 8.30pm).

There is limited space so it is important to Register Your Organisation's Attendance:
Please complete a simple online form that helps us plan the event and make sure there is space and name badges for your representatives.

If you need to nominate someone else to take on a role, then ask them to sign up to our mailing list here or drop an email to secretary.dva@ditchling.com.

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please get in touch.
